Art Sneak Preview: Skadi and Sobek

It's Independence Day here in the United States, and what better way than to celebrate with awesome art? Let's bring it on!

We got a request this week to see if there was any art ready from then "new" gods - the ones what were added later by a stretch reward or directly pledged for by awesome entrepreneurs. And you know what, we totally do. There aren't any finalized versions yet, nor even lineart for most of them, but sketches we can do for you!

Here are some preliminary sketches of Skadi, giant Norse goddess of hunting, skiing and being better than you. She looks ready to ruin someone's day and not even care about it that much, which is pretty much her M.O. Also, she probably shreds on those skis.

And, because I know you guys missed him in all his scaly glory, here's a familiar (and toothy) face:

Sobek, lord of the Nile and master of crocodiles, looks sort of perpetually satisfied with life, because crocodiles pretty much are satisfied with life and they have a lot of teeth to smile with. We are big fans of how, even when he's not roaring and charging, he still looks like he'd be totally up for eating whomever is talking to him.

That's it for this week! If you're in the States, have a great day and don't get too drunk; if you're in Canada, we hope your hangover from Tuesday has subsided; and if you're anywhere else, go treat yourself and have an awesome day anyway.
